(一)留学生教育

 

 

  

高水平、国际化的留学生教育是世界一流大学的普遍特征,也是一个国家高等教育的重要标志。来华留学生教育的发展,对提升高等学校的综合实力和国际影响力发挥着重要作用。

留学生课程的编制是留学生教育工作的重中之重。自成立以来,国际学院一直将课程安排作为工作重心,力求科学系统,严谨完备。根据来华留学生的基本情况,学院为留学生设置了五大课程群,即中国文化教育与自然科学课程群、人文社会科学与行为科学课程群、生物医学基础课程群、预防医学与科研方法学课程群和临床医学课程群。

1.中国文化教育与自然科学课程群:包括汉语、医学汉语、中国概况、医用微积分、医用物理学、基础化学、有机化学、计算机基础、体育等。

2.人文社会科学与行为科学课程群:包括医学心理学、医学伦理学等。

3.生物医学基础课程群:包括系统解剖学、组织学与胚胎学、局部解剖学、神经生物学、细胞生物学、生物化学、分子生物学、医学遗传学、医学生物学实验、生理学、病理生理学、药理学、医学机能学实验、医学微生物学、医学免疫学、人体寄生虫学、病原生物学与免疫学实验、病理学、异常人体形态学实验等。

4.预防医学与科研方法学课程群:包括预防医学、医学统计学、医学文献的获取与利用、临床流行病学、循证医学等。

5.临床医学课程群:包括检体诊断学、实验诊断学、医学影像学(含超声诊断)、内科学、急诊医学、外科学总论、麻醉学、外科学、妇产科学、儿科学、传染病学、神经病学、精神病学、核医学、眼科学、耳鼻咽喉科学、口腔科学、皮肤性病学、临床病理学、全科医学概论等。

在以上必修课程外,学院开设了临床药理学、临床免疫学、中医学、针灸学、康复医学概论、人群营养与健康、中外医学史、社会医学与卫生事业管理学、卫生经济学、卫生法学等选修课程。


【Curriculum】


It has five domains of courses, namely:


Chinese culture and natural science: Chinese, Medical Chinese, General information of China, Calculus for Medicine, Medical Physics, Basic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Computer Basics, Physical Education, etc.


Humanities, social and behavioral sciences: Medical Psychology, Medical Ethics, etc.


Basic biomedicine: Systematic Anatomy, Histology and Embryology, Localised Anatomy, Neurobiology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medical Genetics, Experiment of Medical Biology, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, Experiment of Medical Function, Medical Microbiology, Medical Immunology, Human Parasitology, Pathobiological and Immunological Experiments, Pathology, Experiments of Abnormal Human Morphology, etc.


Preventive medicine and research methodology: Preventive Medicine, Medical Statistics, Medical Literature Retrieval and Management, Clinical Epidemiology, Evidence-Based Medicine, etc.


Clinical medicine: Physical Diagnostics, Laboratory Diagnostics, Medical Imaging (including ultrasound), Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Survey of Surgery, Anaesthesia, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Psychiatry, Nuclear Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Stomatology, Dermatology, Clinical Pathology, Introduction to General Medicine, etc.


In addition to the above compulsory courses, Clinical Pharmacology, Clinical Immunology, Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Introduction of Rehabilitation Medicine, Human Nutrition and Health, Chinese and Foreign History of Medicine and other elective courses are also offered.


(二)教学质量控制

教学质量是一个学校的生命线,离开教学质量谈学校的发展只是建造空中楼阁。首都医科大学国际学院作为留学生培养基地,追求卓越,立意高远,尤其注重教学质量的提高。在发展过程中,国际学院已逐步探索出一套具有国际学院特色的提升教学质量的方法。

1.专家评教

督导组专家评估机制是首都医科大学国际学院教学管理模式中的一大特色。2009年10月15日,由在职及退休的专家教授组成的国际学院专家督导组成立,线福华副校长为督导组专家们颁发聘书,确立了督导专家教学评估机制。2021年9月,学院更新专家组成员,同时开展了对线上教学的督导。督导专家随机抽取课程进行听课,采用打分形式,与随堂听课的学生一起对该课程作出评价。国际学院每学期定期召开督导专家组会议,综合来自督导专家、教师、学生各个方面的意见,对留学生教学质量的提升起到了良好的促进作用。

2.学生评教

国际学院每个学期组织各个年级学生开展对授课老师的评教工作。随机抽取一堂课程,学生对老师上课时的整体印象、英语水平、教学方法和水平三个方面做出评价。以上三个方面又具体细分为多项指标,例如授课老师上课时的教学态度、课堂组织与管理、英文发音、语句结果、师生互动、条理性和逻辑性等方面。最后,由听课的学生对授课老师这堂课的整个教学水平做出综合评价。

国际学院还定期召开学生座谈会,各年级派出学生代表,与主管教学工作的老师们座谈同学们在学习过程中所遇到的问题和困难。学院认真听取学生们的意见,动态对学院的整个教学工作进行改进和完善。

学生评教和学生座谈会为教师及时了解学生学习情况和自身的教学情况提供了一个良好的平台。


Teaching quality is the essence of a school. Improvement in teaching standards is mandatory to the development of a school. As an international student training base, the International School of Capital Medical University seeks long-term development through continuous improvement in the teaching standards.


(1) Expert evaluation:

The expert evaluation mechanism of the steering group is a major feature for the teaching management model of the International School of Capital Medical University. Expert steering group for the International School was established on the 15th Oct 2009, comprised of professional on job and retired professors. Expert supervision certificate was awarded to the professors by the University Vice President Xian Fuhua. The membership of the expert group was updated in Sep 2021, online teaching was evaluated. Expert supervisors select courses and lectures for evaluation randomly, lectures are scored and evaluated through the participant students. Regular meetings of the steering group are held every semester in the International school, opinions from the steering experts, lecturers, and students are gathered and appropriate action plan is developed for the future. This process has played a good role in the continuous improvement of teaching quality for the international students.


(2) Student evaluation of teaching

Lecture evaluation by the students is organized every semester at the International school. A course is selected randomly and is evaluated by students in the following three aspects:


    • Overall impression.

    • English communication level.

    • Teaching method and the       level of the teacher.


The above three aspects are subdivided into many contents, for example, the teacher's attitude, classroom organization and management, English language pronunciation, interaction between teachers and students etc.  Based on the above given characteristics students make a comprehensive evaluation of the course and the level of teaching.


The International School organizes regular meetings with students where class representatives from each grade communicate with the staff of the education department about the problems and difficulties related to their study. The school staff collects the opinions of the students carefully and plans accordingly for the improvement of the teaching quality.  


Student evaluation of teaching and student meetings provide a good platform for the teachers to understand the requirements of the students and help to improve their own teaching.
